<image:title>Our Story</image:title>
<image:caption>Juicehead started when four of us first met working together at craft beer bar and Wellington institution, Malthouse. We were all fairly fresh off the boat from the UK and Ireland, and had all gravitated towards working in the rapidly growing and evermore popular industry of craft beer. Perhaps most importantly, we all shared a mutual passion for good food and drink. After grafting together for a few years on the frontline of slinging pints to punters, we came to realise that every day we were learning more about what the Kiwi beer drinker wants in their glass, and thought we’d put this knowledge to some use. So, in March 2017, with a somewhat naive “how hard can it be?” attitude, four bartenders formed JuiceHead Beer. We launched with a handful of experimental brews, some of which were hugely popular and are still in production today, and some which we can now say were maybe not. But every day’s a school day! What’s in a name? Why Juicehead? Back in 2016, months before we were ready to launch, we were all a) scratching our brains for a name for this company that we were about to unveil, and b) loved a few pints. The bar scene was ultimately what brought us together professionally, and the support of our peers within this wild industry played a huge role in us getting JuiceHead Beer off the ground to begin with, so it seemed fitting to pay respect to this ritual of sharing a few pints with mates. What’s the Juicehead philosophy towards brewing and beer? Our main philosophy is making beers that fit to any situation or scenario you might find yourself in, and always, always being excited about the beer you’ve just ordered. With each of our brews, we’re shooting for that “perfect pint”, if such a thing exists. That sensation of the nail-on-the-head, pitch perfect, flawless, true-to-style brew. We’ve seen people come into a bar and get really giddy that their favourite beer is on tap. They’ll buy a round for their mates and march back to the table with said round, brimming with confidence that everyone will be stoked with their choice of beverage. When that beer is our beer, this makes us really giddy too. What makes JuiceHead different? Pretty big question. Years of working closely with beer has taught us many things, but one thing that has always rung true is knowing what the people want, while also being one of those people.</image:caption>

<image:caption>JuiceHead first came together at the Wellington institution that is the Malthouse. Fresh off the boat from the UK and Ireland, everyone involved found themselves immersed in the world of craft beer. After grafting together for a few years on the frontline of slinging pints to punters, with a somewhat naive “how hard can it be?” attitude, four bartenders formed JuiceHead Beer. Why call it JuiceHead? There doesn’t always have to be a story behind the name, sometimes the name comes first and that informs the ethos of some of the beers we make. Our main philosophy is making beers that fit any situation or scenario you might find yourself in, and always, always being excited about the beer you’ve just ordered. With each new beer, Juicehead is shooting for that “perfect pint”, if such a thing exists. That sensation of the nail-on-the-head, pitch-perfect, flawless, true-to-style beer.</image:caption>

<image:title>Meet the team - Emma</image:title>
<image:caption>Emma is the artist behind your new favourite can designs. She’s kind of always been around beer and hospitality; ever since she started working in pubs in the UK. Emma knew nothing about craft beer really, but as soon as she tried one in New Zealand she wanted to know everything about it! Working at Malthouse as well as Fork & Brewer helped; seeing it first hand and being able to work with people who were really excited about the stuff. Emmas favourite thing about beer is the people and the community that it builds around itself. Outside of JuiceHead, you can find her painting in her garden.</image:caption>

<image:title>Meet the team - Ciaran</image:title>
<image:caption>Ciaran is the director of all things at JuiceHead. Big picture, little picture and a lot of the things people take for granted on the side of the can. Ciaran still thinks back to his first brew kit made by himself and some mates out of two old kegs and 12 metres of copper piping that we painful coiled into a counterflow cooler. It involved tears. With what little free time he has outside of work, he can be found playing the least Kiwi sport that is football for a local beer bar’s pub team, or with a PS4 controller in hand.</image:caption>

<image:title>Meet the team - Calum</image:title>
<image:caption>Another man of Malthouse, Calum cut his teeth in the beer scene. Any time you come across Juicehead on the internet, it was probably Calum who put it there. Hailing from the UK, like 3/4s of the team, he found his way to New Zealand on a holiday and just couldn’t leave. When he’s not working away on can designs with Emma, you’ll find him out and about in the city if he’s not playing in his local Saturday League.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Sean, the newest member to the team is our sales manager! With a wealth of hospitality experience and a gift for the gab, Sean can be seen strutting his stuff around most of New Zealand as he tries to get everyone drinking Juicehead. Another hailing from the UK, Sean arrived with his partner (Calum’s sister) and they both fell in love with the place and didn’t want to leave. With a degree in commercial music Sean enjoys watching live music (his favourite band currently is Bad Hagrid among others) or playing football for his Saturday Team Seatoun F.C alongside fellow Juicehead Calum.</image:caption>
